Life Beyond the Classroom

Some of the most memorable parts of school happen beyond regular lessons.

Clubs and activities give students the chance to try something new, develop interests, spend time with other students and take part in school life in a different way.

At GIS, we want activities to be something students genuinely look forward to.

Activities at GIS

Our programme will be shaped by the ages, interests and needs of our students. Activities may include:

• Sports and physical activities
• Art, music and creative activities
• Science and technology
• Reading and book clubs
• Languages and cultural activities
• Student-led projects

The programme can develop throughout the year as student interests and opportunities change.

Try Something New

Students don't need previous experience to take part.

Clubs and activities are a chance to try something different, learn a new skill or discover an interest they may not have explored before.

They also give students another way to work with others, build friendships and spend time with children outside their usual class.

Shaped by Our Students

As GIS grows, our activities programme will grow with it.

We want students to have a voice in the activities available and will listen to their ideas when developing the programme.

Most importantly, we want students to take part because they're interested, enjoy the experience and want to come back.
