Great Schools Start with Great Teachers

A teacher can have a lasting influence on a child's experience at school. At GIS, we look for teachers who know their students well, enjoy teaching and pay close attention to each child's progress.

With a maximum of 15 students per class, teachers have the time to notice when a child is doing well, when they need extra support, and when they're ready for greater challenge.

An International Team

As an English-language international school, GIS looks for qualified teachers who understand what it means to work with children from different countries, cultures and educational backgrounds.

Qualifications and experience matter, but so does the person behind them. We want teachers who are approachable and patient, and who create a classroom where children feel comfortable asking questions, contributing ideas and learning from mistakes.

Working with Families

Parents know their children better than anyone. We believe children benefit when teachers and families communicate openly and work together.

Families should know how their child is progressing, what they're doing well, and where they may need extra support. Parents should never have to wonder how their child is progressing.

Teachers Who Keep Learning

Good teachers keep learning too. We encourage our staff to share ideas, learn from one another and keep developing their teaching throughout their time at GIS.
