Our Vision

At Gothenburg International School, we want every child to feel known, valued and able to make meaningful progress in their learning.

GIS is an English-language international school where students from different countries, cultures and educational backgrounds learn together. English is the main language of teaching and everyday school life, and our approach reflects a British approach to education.

We combine high expectations with individual attention, encouraging students to be curious, think independently and take an active role in their learning.

Our Values

Every Child Matters
With a maximum of 15 students per class, our teachers have the time to know each child, understand their strengths and recognise when they need support or greater challenge.

Learning Matters
We have high expectations for our students, while encouraging curiosity, independent thinking and a genuine interest in learning.

International by Nature
Our students learn in English alongside children from different cultures and backgrounds. We encourage them to value their own identity while respecting and learning from others.

Kindness and respect are part of everyday life at GIS. Every student and family should feel welcome and treated with consideration.
